Dumfries travelled to Carrick on Sunday 10th November for a first meeting between these two sides.

It was a glorious day and the first run out for the young Saints since the October holidays .
To start with the Saints were a little bit rusty and some poor tackling allowed Carrick an early score . Captain Rory Gordon spurred his team on and the Saints were soon running in a number of tries.  Lewis was producing some  great runs picking the ball up and charging through the Carrick defence scoring on a few occasions.  Fergus was running well and produced a number of fine tries.  Stewart showed his silky skills throwing  the odd dummy and doing his jinky running and he also scored a couple of tries.  Murray, Craig, Kier and Kerr are stepping up to the plate now and starting to read the game a lot better, producing good tackles and running some decent lines on attack.  Special mention goes to Rory Boyd for scoring his first ever try for the minis.  Rory Gordon and Rory Robertson both got on the scoresheet several times as well .

FINAL SCORE . Carrick 3 tries Dumfries 14 tries .
The Saints played another game against Carrick and won that 7-1.
It was a great day out for the young team and a special thanks to all who travelled.
