1st XV against Preston Lodge FP RFC at Park Farm KO 2.00 p.m.

This weekend the Saints are at home to the team currently propping up the Scottish Hydro Electric National Division 1 but despite their current position Preston Lodge have a long pedigree and no little pride.

With the weather and pitch having improved dramatically from last weekend’s storms the forecast is good for a fast open game of rugby. Coach Steve MacKinnon told the Standard

“ We will treat our visitors with respect but the need to secure five points is paramount if we are to continue our progress.” He continued “ we are currently sitting in second spot but we must guard against any complacency. The players know that they must play with the focus, passion, commitment and skill levels we have been showing against teams at the other end of the table. If we do that then a good result is possible”
