The club is sad to note the passing of David Yates Snr from Castle Douglas, who was a past captain of the club in 1950 and 1951. He was a long time supporter of Dumfries and also one of the founder members of Stewartry Rugby Club. The family connection with the club followed for the next two generations. His contribution to rugby in the Dumfries & Galloway region is well recorded and we wish his family all the best at this sad time.

Funeral private with a service on Friday(29th) at 12noon at Urr Parish Church
