Another great ‘Ladies Day’ at Park Farm

Ladies Day at Park Farm.

Ladies Day is one of the highlights of the year when the women who support the club have their day out.

This annual function was buzzing as usual with approximately 80 guests enjoying the pre-match lunch.  Judging by the general chatter and the noise, a good time was had by all.

Many thanks to Marion, Jane, Maureen, Sharon/Susan, Claire, Sarah, Lynsey and Hazel for organising the tables. Thanks also to everyone who helped out (including our “aproned” waiters) on a very busy but enjoyable day.

Table number 3 Table number 2 Table number 1The first and 2nd XV’s were at home both kicking off at 3pm against Whitecraigs 1st XV and Watsonians 2nd XV – but whether it was the function or the cold wind outside, not many ventured on to the touchlines to cheer on the Saints ….

Apart from the matches and the hospitality, three of our U16 Players, Donald Kennedy, Ian Carlisle and Fraser Lethardy will be on a fund-raising exercise.

The three lads have been invited to attend the Glasgow Thistles Training Camp in Perpignan in July.  To ensure the commitment of those who are offered this honour they have to raise their own funds.

On Saturday they embarked on a sponsored Turbo Cycle Session on the pitchside outside the clubhouse.  No report yet on how well they did, but it looked as though they were doing well for donations.
