Donald, Ian & Peter cycling to get to Perpignan

Apart from the matches and the Ladies Day hospitality at Park Farm on 22nd march,  three of our U16 Players, Donald Kennedy, Fraser Lethardy and Ian Carlisle (shown from left to right) were on their own fund-raising exercise. 

The three lads have been invited to attend the Glasgow Thistles Training Camp in Perpignan in July.  To ensure the commitment of those who are offered this honour they have to raise their own funds.  On Saturday they embarked on a sponsored Turbo Cycle Session on the pitchside outside the clubhouse. 

The lads ‘cycled’ on a static bicycle for one hour each, recording a distance of 90K. Donations made were £220. They say they were very pleased with the generosity on the day.  They also say “the exercise left them with tender buttocks”.

We’ll try to keep you advised of their ongoing efforts …. but if you or your company feel inclined to add another wee bit of sponsorship to the lads, all donations will be gratefully received …
