Saints surprise Border 7’s crowd

Saints finished a gallant runners up at Langholm 7’s despite Hawick coach Rocky Johnstone believing the Langholm Sevens trophy was there for the taking.

He said in last weeks Hawick News: “We’re in fourth place in the table at the moment and the boys have the appetite to go on and do well. We couldn’t have asked for a better draw [against Dumfries], so we’re going down with plenty of confidence.” Think again Rocky as Saints dumped the once mighty Greens out in the first round.
