After Ardrossan visited Dumfries on 13 March, 2011 and lost heavily 10 tries to 3 a rematch was requested at Ardrossan.

So the S1’s and S2’s travelled on Sunday on a glorious day for rugby. After very late call offs and boys sleeping in Saints ended up playing with 13 and once Ardrossan scored they also went to 13! The game was played in 3 x 20minute sections but all the decisions seem to be going the home side way and wasn’t long before Saints were 3 tries down. One try being given after the maul went over the corner flag and Kyle Lindsay was away with the ball. Saints managed to get one back before the first break with their lineout move involving a perfect throw by Connor Gracie gathered by Declan O’Donnell at the tail and he is unstoppable from 10 yards out.

The second section was very even with two unconverted tries each. Callum Fitzpatrick playing at centre seem to run through tackles at ease to score both tries.

The third section the young saints realised they had to do everything on their own and try and get some of the decisions and after two break out tries through Russell McQueen and again Callum Fitzpatrick, both converted by Ian Carlisle, Saints actually took the lead but a late try from a penalty and quick tap away in front of the mark proved to be the winning score to the homeside under the posts.

Final score Saints 29 Ardrossan 34.
