Saints Back In League Action
This weekend Saints welcome Hamilton to Park Farm. The visitors won the early season fixture and are having a great year, currently sitting in second place in Premier 3. A Saints win would be a shock but would propel Saints back into the mix and make life interesting if Hamilton were to slip up elsewhere, it’s all to play for!
After last weeks tough match against Edinburgh Accies in the cup this will be another challenge, however if Saints can build on the intensity of their performances against Premier 2 sides int he cup they will have a real chance.
Long term injury absentees Stuart Clanachan and Ali Mather are both in with a chance of making it this week which would significantly strengthen the line out. A large squad is named to allow for final selection later in the week.
First XV, meet 1.30pm, kick off 3.00pm. Squad from; G McCall, J Sa, S Graham, S Kennedy, D Henderson, A Mather, J Currie, P Coupar, A Munro, K Brown, S Clanachan, V Satala, S Renwick, F Miller, S Diez, G Gemmell, K Henderson, S Hiddleston, F Shaw, R Steele, J Sloan, T Hiddleston, W Kelly.
The second team make the journey to North Ayrshire to face an Irvine team who picked up a much needed win last week. A win is essential if Saints are to maintain their promotion push.
The Second XV squad will be named after Thursday night training. All players should check with coaches and the club websitewww.dumfriessaintsrugby.co.uk where the team will be posted.
