Magnificent Minis

Dumfries minis travelled to Moffat on Sunday the 11th of May with two p4/5 teams and a p6/7 team . The p4/5 had a great day with the B team going undefeated and winning the tournament scoring 33 tries and conceding only 4. This was accomplished by 3 wins in the pool stages Dfs B 7 Biggar B  1 , Dfs B 9 Annan 1 and Dfs B 8 Moffat 1 .
In the final Dumfries B played the winner of the other pool which was Biggar A and started well with Robbie and Rory R getting the early tries . Dumfries showed  some great skills off loading in the tackle and always had a support runner to take the ball on . Lewis and Tom put in crunching tackles to keep Biggar at bay . Dfs eventually winning the final 8 -1.
Dumfries A team for the p4/5 s had a great start in their pool with a hard fought draw with stewartry . They narrowly lost to Biggar A and Newton Stewart in their other games.
Dumfries P6/7 also faired well at Moffat winning the pool and getting to the final where they lost out narrowly to Biggar by 3 tries to 2.
