Schools Rugby Coaches Wanted For Weekday Sessions Next Season

Enthusiastic and inspiring individuals with a rugby background are required to be Sessional Coaches responsible for planning and delivering weekday rugby coaching and facilitating the playing of rugby in local schools.

A competitive rate per hour is available for these part time posts funded by Dumfries Rugby Club, Dumfries & Galloway Council and Scottish Rugby Union.

Working on a rota, Sessional Coaches will be required to deliver regular curricular and extra-curricular hours during term time, be available for additional hours during seasonal campaigns or competitions, plus provide occasional cover for each other.

Sessional Coaches will be ambassadors in the community for the game of rugby and Dumfries Rugby Club.

Applicants should ideally hold a relevant coaching qualification UKCC Level 1 for Primary Schools coaching, UKCC Level 2 for Secondary Schools coaching or equivalent, and be a PVG Scheme Member. Training will be provided to attain these qualifications.
