Young Saints starting in Glasgow U18 front row

Two young Saints start in the Glasgow U18 front row against Caledonia U18 at Peffermill, Edinburgh this Sunday 16th December, 1.30 pm kick off.
Loose head prop Craig Goldie, captain of Dumfries Colts and tight head prop Scott Goodwin have being having a great season with Dumfries Colts and attending weekly training sessions at Scotstoun in Glasgow.
Craig, a young farmer from Lochmaben is a former pupil of Lockerbie Academy and current student at SRUC Barony Campus, has already impressed coming off the bench for Saints 1st XV. His experienced front row partner Scott, a former Dumfries High School pupil and current student at Dumfries and Galloway College, played for Glasgow U16’s scoring a try against the Borders U16’s.
These two young men are part of a succession of young Dumfries players to have gained representative honours and are a credit to commitment of the Saints youth rugby coaches and team management.
