Premier Cup Comes to Park Farm - Teams for the weekend
Dumfries Saints were frustrated when last week’s frost saw off their fixture at Hamilton, the Second XV were just as frustrated over the loss of their table top clash with GHK.
This weekend Saints hope to get back into action in the cup against Perthshire, Saints won a league fixture away from home but it was a close run thing with Saints struggling to contain the speedy Perthshire backs. Weather permitting it should be an entertaining game of rugby!
Saints welcome scrum half Aaron Watson back after several months off with injury but will be missing Tom Hiddleston who plays on Friday night for Scottish Universities against the French. Rory Steele also returns after his Scotland Under 19 squad sessions and Murray Richardson hopes to get another game under his belt.
The Second XV face a long away trip to Helensburgh where they will be keen for a win to maintain their table top position. Hopefully skipper Simon Robertson can make it, however a recent addition to the family may make that impossible, congratulations Simon!
